DESCRIPTION:The Spring Break Law Experience and Advising Program (LEAP) is a four-day immersion program coordinated by the UW-Madison Center for Pre-Law Advising (CPLA) in collaboration with SuccessWorks and other campus-community partners. LEAP is designed to help undergraduate students explore their interest in pursuing a career in law. \nPast cohorts have toured law schools\, visited law firms\, shadowed court proceedings\, networked with attorneys\, law students\, and non lawyer professionals in law and policy related roles. \nApply for this FREE program and learn more about law school\, what it means to work as an attorney\, and broader career opportunities! Must be able to participate in an all day program during spring break Monday March 13-Thursday March 16th. \nCriteria for Selection: \n\nParticipants must be current UW-Madison undergraduates with an interest in exploring law.\nPriority will be given to undergraduates who come from communities and populations that are historically excluded within the field of law\, including BIPOC students\, LGBTQIA+ students\, students with disabilities\, first-generation students\, and students from socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds.\nPriority will be given to applicants who will significantly benefit from gaining more exposure to law fields and building related professional networks.\nParticipants should have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5\, but exceptions may be granted based on extenuating circumstances or upward grade trends.\n\n\nClick here to apply! Please visit this page of our website for more details. \nThe Spring Break Law Experience and Advising Program (LEAP) is a four-day immersion program coordinated by the UW-Madison Center for Pre-Law Advising (CPLA) and SuccessWorks. LEAP is designed to help undergraduate students explore their interest in pursuing a career in law. Apply for this FREE program and learn more about law school and what it means to work as an attorney! LEAP includes extensive advising support as well as programming like trips to local law firms and courts\, visits to UW Law School and Marquette Law School\, and networking opportunities with area professionals\, UW alumni\, and UW staff.
