Center for Pre-Law Advising

Welcome!

The Center for Pre-Law Advising (CPLA) seeks to help increase access to as well as equity and diversity within the field of law by providing excellent advising, programming, and other career development resources to UW-Madison students and alumni – no time limit! We serve advisees at all stages of the process of considering, preparing for, or applying to law school.

1:1 Advising: We conduct 1:1 appointments remotely or in person at our office in the Middleton Building, Suite 205, 1305 Linden Dr. Current students, please schedule via Starfish. Alumni, we invite you to fill out our Alumni Appointment Request Form to set up an appointment with a CPLA advisor.

Feeling stressed out by the law school application process? We recently had UHS join us for a workshop where they shared helpful advice for anyone feeling the mental and emotional impact of putting together law school applications.  While it is framed in the context of writing personal statements and addenda, we feel it is a helpful 30 minute recording for anyone feeling the emotional toll of going through this process.
