Federal Government Job Search: Part One

Have you always thought it would be cool to work in the field of intelligence, helping to ferret out and stop terrorists before they strike?  Or perhaps you’ve been secretly harboring a desire to serve as a Naval, Marine, Air Force or Army Officer? Or maybe you dream of working in intentional diplomacy? Perhaps you’d like to work for the Federal Reserve Banks, or prosecute financial crimes, or manage government real estate?  If a desk job doesn’t suit you, you could work outdoors in a national park or monument or perform field research into environmental threats?  Or maybe you could see yourself working to keep America’s food supply or offices and work-sites safe and disease free?  If education is more your thing but you dream of living abroad, maybe you’d like a career teaching the children of our service men and women on military bases all over the world?  All of these opportunities (and more) are available with the Federal Government.  The problem is that most students are stymied by what is often a very lengthy and confusing application process. Whether you are only slightly familiar with federal agency opportunities, or you have just begun to think about them and know absolutely nothing yet:  THIS is the workshop you need to attend.  Students will gain an understanding of USAJobs, Federal Pathways opportunities for both interns and recent grads, the different types of Federal hiring, and much, much more!
